Connecting Trimble Integrations to Your Spectrum On-Prem Environment.

This articles reviews all the required steps needed for customers to connect their Spectrum On-Prem environment to Ryvit.

Connecting Trimble Integrations to Spectrum will require you to complete a number of steps. It is very important to complete each step. If you have any questions you can reach out to support.

Step 1: Install the XChangeAgent

  • Click here to download the XChangeAgent and then make sure to install it on a server that can access your Viewpoint Spectrum database. The wizard will walk you through the installation steps, but if you have any questions about the XChangeAgent (installation help, security features, etc.) please refer to our Knowledge Base.

Once installed, you'll want to go ahead and setup your Spectrum SQL User for the XChangeAgent. << This is critical, as we'll need the following information from you to finish the connection>>. Activation Code will be emailed directly to you from someone at XChange. 

Step 2: Set Up Spectrum SQL User

Once installed, you'll want to go ahead and set up your Spectrum SQL User for the XChangeAgent. This is critical, as we'll need: 

    • Server Name 
    • Database Name 
    • SQL Username 
    • Password  
    • Spectrum company codes  

Step 3: Data Exchange URL and ID 

Set up your Data Exchange URL and ID. To do so, please follow these instructions. Please provide the following to the Trimble Integrations team:

  • Authorization ID created in Part 2 
  • The URL and Port Number from Part 3
